Peer Engagement Days
The program provides children the opportunity to regularly interact and build friendships with each other to benefit their social and emotional development.
At Peer Engagement Days, students engage in explicit teaching and learning of key life skills and have opportunities to practice those skills via activities with their peers. All of this takes place in a safe and supportive environment where the education staff understand the children’s specific language, social and emotional needs. Learning centres around four key areas: Identity; Well Being; Connectedness; and Communication.
